Made 100% of soft merino wool, these blankets are smooth against the skin, not itchy, and are great for wicking moisture away. Finding quality wool blankets made in the USA is a hard task, but finding them in the quantities we need is something we thought was impossible, until now! They feature nice long fibers, soft, warm wool, and a wonderful medium weight of about 3.8 lbs. The blankets are light gray with red and  blue stripes throughout the body and are generously sized at 66" by 96". As far as Jon is concerned, this is the finest blanket we have ever carried, both in overall feel and comfort, as well as being period correct. He believes that thinner design and lighter weight of this blanket is most representative of a good quality blanket of the 18th century.
